Dianne Jones is a native of North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born the 7thchild of 8 children born to Frank and Ruth Hinton. Being part of a large family, she quickly learned three very importance keys to life: Godly Relationships, Self-Respect and Responsibility. Dianne accepted Christ as a young child and began learning the importance of, first a relationship with God and second, a relationship with her fellow Christians. She realized that serving others gave her the greatest joy and she joined the Junior Usher Board. Her servants heart led her to usher at the New Hope Baptist Church, NLR, Arkansas, for seven years, prior to moving to Houston, Texas in the summer of 1988. In 1989 Dianne met Charles Jones and they married on November 24, 1990. What she had learned about self respect and respect for God and others was put to the test and subsequently Charles and Dianne ended their marriage in the Fall of 1997. During the 7-year divorce period, Dianne learned that no one could complete her, because she was already complete and wonderfully made by God. Her relationship with God grew to a whole new level. In April 2005, Dianne Jones and Charles Jones remarried and totally surrendered their family and marriage to God for His glory. Dianne also surrendered her life and career to providing resources and services to those in need in the Southwest Houston and surrounding communities. She served in many capacities at Bethel’s Place Community Empowerment Center such as, Program Coordinator, Program Director, Financial Director, Grant writer and Development Director. She is committed to the responsibility of first serving God and then His people. Dianne received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and has over 15 years of experience in non-profit development, assessment and management. She is the former Executive Director of The Get Together Brazoria County non-profit, a certified non-profit consultant and is currently the Executive Director of 20/20 Vision Community Development Corporation, the sister non-profit organization of New Hope.Dianne was taught as a young child at New Hope Baptist Church, NLR, Arkansas, to have good honest relationships, respect yourself and others, and be responsible with the gifts and blessings that God gave her. Now she is building on that legacy at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Clute, Texas. As the church names seemed to have evolved, so has she. Dianne has become an advocate for serving those in need abroad and in the local communities. She draws strength and encouragement from Philippians 4:13 “I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength.”
